Meal No. 6 - Kedgeree
Feb 20th, 2007 by Jason
Not having been at work today (see previous post) I had the luxury of a continental breakfast at the hotel before going out for a walk along the cliff-tops between Beer and Branscome. (No we were not scavenging for for BMW motorbikes or nappies).
Following our walk to Branscome, and a quick look at the still stranded MSC Napoli, we stopped for a pub lunch in The Anchor at Beer.
So, with all this eating, I was in no rush to cook. By late evening we were a getting a little peckish so I decided to knock up a light meal. Kedgeree was originally considered a breakfast meal, with flakes of fish from the mornings catch but as I didn’t have any fish I used mushrooms along with the rice and lentils.
There is no picture as it’s really just a browny - yellow, mess but it’s very tasty.
