Smarty Pants

A little note for any US readers - in the UK pants are what you call shorts and not as you might have assumed, trousers. (Shorts are trousers that are, well… short.)
Following my weekly trip to the launderette, I was putting my clothes away, when I noticed something odd on the care label of my pants:
“Steam iron recommended.”
Now, I don’t usually give my underwear much thought. That’s why I have 9 * pairs of black M&S boxer shorts and 9 * pairs of black M&S sports socks and I’m not ashamed to reveal this.
So, reading the care label in my pants, for the first time in my life (and I’ve been doing my own laundry successfully since I left home at 18) I was shocked to discover ironing instructions.
Perhaps there are people out there that iron their underwear? It’s not the sort of thing one generally talks about. I’m not sure that I would like to have so little going on in my life that I would have time to do this.
One thing I do know for sure is that 15 years of martial arts training would not protect me from harm should I ask my partner to undertake this task for me!
Is there anyone out there that will confess to ironing their pants, or wearing pants ironed by someone else?
I agree, ironing underwear seems pointless. I FAR to many other things going on to be able to devote precious time to such an activity. I know some people who iron their socks, but not sure about pants/boxers/underwear!
