On being right…

I came across this excellent little poem, sent in to the Guardian letters page.
Here lies the body of Jonathon Wray,
Who died maintaining his right of way.
He was right, quite right, as he bowled along,
But he’s just as dead as if he’d been wrong!
Time for a moment of reflection for those of us (guilty) who delight in being right.
