Tradesmen shitting in my house!

OK, they didn’t actually leave a curled up turd in the corner behind the sofa, but in my absence they did wash their hands in my bathroom and then destroy a clean towel. OK they didn’t actually destroy the towel, but they did render it unusable. Well, not that you couldn’t have used it to mop up sick or anything, but it was no good for drying myself with after washing.
So, they didn’t actually wash their hands. I suspect like many men, who are in fact just large boys, they moved their hands briefly under the water and then wiped the grime they had accumulated from my loft on my clean white towel.
Now I can only assume this was deliberate. If you are so stupid as to use a clean white towel after rinsing your hands under water and think you will not leave a mark you would clearly not be smart enough to operate a door handle and get into said bathroom. Much less dress yourself and hold down a job.
These guys came to put loft insulation a a small section of roof that covers a single room extension out the back of the house. The loft is maybe 10′ x 15′. Simple job, didn’t take them long. Still they managed to leave all sorts of debris, dust, bits of loft and glass fibre all over the floor, and cover the white loft hatch with black hand prints. True, they were not alone in their endeavours to foul my living space, the gas engineer working on the flat below, who needed access several time over the last few days also shares the blame!
It seems that no-one in this country takes any pride in their work (or themselves) anymore. Perhaps it’s just the effect of capitalism. From central government through businesses of all size, down to sole traders pretending to be professional landlords - everyone goes for the lowest bidder, the person or company who is willing to cut the most corners and place the least value on their service. But that’s another whole post!
